Working directly with client to help them understand new systems and ensure continued site updates after my work was complete

WordPress, PHP, and Version control (Git)
Seneca Park Zoo : 2016

Tasked with building a new website for The Rochester City Zoo utilizing (among other technologies) WordPress, PHP, Amazon W3, Google Analytics, and Version control (Git)

Over 150 pages were adapted and overhauled for the launch. I worked extensively with our in-house designers, zoo staff and management as well as small, focused team of developers.

OpSense: 2018-2020

On both the php based product information website, and the React application I served as a front end developer of many complex UX situations. Working with forms, data viz, custom tables and many libraries.

Developer

Texas Roadhouse: 2018-2020

Responding to client requests as quickly as possible was the priority here. Using an antiquated CMS was a challenge but nevertheless this was a great learning experience for dealing with a very high traffic client.

Common tasks include building new pages for promotions, editing templates, and converting non accesible content into WCAG compliant pages.

Shorts Tool : 2017

Summer 2017 I went looking for freelance projects and found Shorts Tool. Their site was old and buggy and I knew I could do better. I pitched them an affordable remake that would help their operation stand out and bring in more business. WordPress, PHP, Google Analytics, Logo Design)

Imperial Tropicals : 2016

My work on this site consisted mostly of editing and creating liquid (Shopify's formatting language) files to increase usability and fulfill client needs.

MIT Civil & Environmental Engineering : 2016

Working with a team of designers and developers, the goal with MIT's CEE website was to create a much more visually pleasing site. Widespread use of HD images, effects, and modern design elements.

EagleDream : 2016

Throughout my time at EagleDream I had to update and refine the company website. We wanted this website to show what we were capable of and feature design and functionality that our clients could expect on their own websites.

About Me

About Me

One thing I love is learning new things! Whether it be a new recipe, hobby, talent, or skill I am always on the lookout for ways to keep my mind sharp! To give some examples, I taught myself how to knit, juggle, 3D model/animate, and photo restoration. I've made content in the areas of foley art, song writing, short story writing, video essays, and even haiku's! I love going on a good wikipedia binge where I learn about history/art/or just interesting people.

All this to say that I can guarantee we can find common ground on an interest of yours and you can bet I'll be happy to talk about it! Quite often in my work life I am able to take skills I learn from these interests and apply it to the development and support tasks at hand.
